Integral Yogic Psychology – Training for a New Era
Duration: 3 years
Schedule: 1 weekend per month (Friday evening to Sunday noon or Saturday full day + Sunday morning)
Format: In-person in Graz (Zinzendorfgasse)
Certification: Certificate “Trainer in Integral Yogic Psychology and Consciousness Development” (with a short final paper or presentation)”
Basic Structure of the 3 Years
Each year has a central theme that is explored in depth:


Year 1: Self-Experience and Foundations of Consciousness
Thematic Blocks (Months):
The Soul’s Journey: What is the Self? (Sri Aurobindo & Upanishads)
Body Awareness & Perception: Transformation begins in the body
The Vital Being: Desire, Emotion, Energy – and their purification
Mental Patterns & Inner Clarity
The Four Soul Forces according to Mirra Alfassa
The True Self & the Psychic Being
Fear, Pain & Trust – Dealing with Inner Suffering
The Silence Within Me – Introduction to Meditative Processes
The Self-Location Exercise (according to the Mother)
Shadow Work in the Light of the Soul
Relationships as a Field of Practice – Attachment & Awareness
Integration & Personal Mid-Term Reflection
Certification: Certificate of Participation “Foundations of Yogic Psychology”
Goal: Participants recognize their inner powers (Body – Vital – Mental) and get to know themselves in a new light.


Year 2: Transformation of Nature – Working with Inner Structures
Focus Areas:
Training in conversation and guidance skills
Dealing with projection, transference, and resistance
Practical exercises from art therapy and working with symbols
Transformation through silence, visualization, mantra, and light work
Working with inner spaces and energy centers
Targeted use of Medhananda’s symbol cards
Certification: “Integral Guide for Personal Development”
Goal: Participants learn to recognize and transform vital, mental, and emotional structures – in themselves and in others.


Year 3: Soul Guidance and Supramental Opening
Topics (Selection):
The Supramental Light: What does it really mean?
Spiritual responsibility and humility
Expressing your own being: language and presence
Leading meditations, guiding people
Understanding archetypes, symbols, and visions
The power of silence: beyond vital drama
Collective fields of consciousness
The body as a temple of light
Final paper or project presentation
Certification: Trainer in Integral Yogic Psychology and Consciousness Development*
(Optional: credit toward future advanced study or supervision)
Goal: Participants learn to live from the psychic being, take leadership, guide others, lead groups, and receive supramental impulses.
Contents and Methods
Texts: Sri Aurobindo (“The Life Divine,” “Synthesis of Yoga,” “Psychology of Self-Realization”), The Mother, Upanishads, Savitri
Exercises: Meditation, visualization, working with symbols, art therapy, silent awareness exercises, guided inner exploration
Experiential Spaces: Painting, movement, rituals in silence (not vital-stimulating!)
Didactics: Experience-oriented – every theory is made tangible for body and soul
Certification & Legitimacy
This training is based on over 40 years of practice in Integral Yoga according to Sri Aurobindo and a study in art therapy in Germany (comparable to social work in Austria). The program does not provide psychotherapeutic or medical knowledge, but equips participants to offer soul-spiritual guidance within the context of personal development.
